1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and the operators of RunningStatus.in ("we", "us", "our"). These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and all rules and regulations made thereunder.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the site after any modification constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

RunningStatus.in provides an informational platform for checking live Indian Railways train running status, timetables, station-level train information, cancellation and diversion notices, and related railway information. This is a free, informational service only.

We are not a ticketing service and do not sell or facilitate the purchase of train tickets. For ticket booking, use the official IRCTC platform.

3. Eligibility

This service is available to any person who can form legally binding contracts under Indian law. By using this site, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age, or are accessing the site under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

4. Permitted Use

You may use RunningStatus.in for the following purposes:

• Checking live train running status for personal, non-commercial use
• Accessing train timetables and route information
• Viewing station arrival/departure boards
• Checking train cancellations and diversions

5. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

• Use the site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable Indian or international law
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from this site without prior written consent
• Reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit the content or data from this site
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or its servers
• Use the site to transmit spam, malware, or any harmful content
• Impersonate Indian Railways, IRCTC, or RunningStatus.in in any communication
• Interfere with or disrupt the site's infrastructure or other users' access
• Use the data for commercial API services or resale without authorisation

6. Intellectual Property

All original content, design, layout, and code on RunningStatus.in is the intellectual property of its operators and is protected under the Copyright Act, 1957 (India). You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our content without explicit written permission.

Indian Railways names, logos, and official data are the property of the Government of India and Indian Railways. RunningStatus.in makes no claim to ownership of such data.

7. Data Accuracy and Disclaimer

Information provided on this site is for general informational purposes only. We make no warranty, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose of any information displayed. Please also refer to our full Disclaimer.

8. Third-Party Services

This site uses third-party services including Google Analytics and Google AdSense. These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RunningStatus.in and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to:

• Missed trains or travel disruptions
• Reliance on incorrect or outdated train information
• Data loss or system errors

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total liability shall not exceed INR 1,000 (One Thousand Indian Rupees).

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless RunningStatus.in and its operators from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the site or violation of these Terms.

11. User Accounts

If you create an account on RunningStatus.in, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, without notice.

12. Availability of Service

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the service. The site may be unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any inconvenience caused by service unavailability.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of RunningStatus.in shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.

Before initiating legal proceedings, you agree to attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us at legal@runningstatus.in. We will attempt to resolve disputes within 30 days.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between you and RunningStatus.in regarding your use of the service.
